Little ones do put the merry in Christmas. We had a great trip to Michigan that was busy, but so much fun. Big family get togethers, a family bowling party, and lovely and quiet holiday time with our daughters, son in laws and of course our granddaughter Audrey. Who is at the cutest age. Walking, saying so many words and just the happiest little girl. She loves to read too, just like her Nana.
We are back in the Florida sunshine, but missing family so much. The good news is that I have a plane ticket booked for later this month, so more Nana time is on the way.
Happy New Year!
It looks like you had a lovely time with family and especially that little granddaughter. Our 12 year old granddaughter is spending the night with us. She loves to stay with Papa and I. We played several rousing games of UNO but she's in bed now reading. What a blessing to finally live closer. They have been at minimum a six hour drive from us until we moved back home from Washington to take care of Mom. Now we're less than a ten minute drive. The downside is now we are far away for our two Montana grands and the youngest of the clan is 2 and lives in London. Now that's WAY too far.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you soon get to go back and see everyone. There is nothing like family and especially grandchildren.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
It is hard to be away. My daughter is great at sending videos and photos, so that helps. Happy New Year!
DeleteThat's great that you got to visit with family. Making memories is important. Remembering them is even more important. Happy new year to you and your family and all the best in 2025
ReplyDeleteI agree - making memories is so much better than gifts. Happy New Year!
