A series of photos can tell a story; a lovely story of a day full of sunshine and love from a family. My family made sure my day was extra special and was filled with all my favorite things. A nice and relaxing morning, an early morning text from Megan sending love from Pittsburgh, thoughtful gifts and flowers, a late breakfast at my favorite spot, mimosas made for me by Melissa, followed by an afternoon trip to the movie theatre.
Of course I was missing Megan. Mother's Day isn't complete when your empty nest isn't quite full, but she will be home for a visit next weekend and that makes me extremely happy. I have more plans than can fit into the weekend, but it will mostly be about catching up on all the hugs I have missed.
So many wonderful Mother's Day celebrations over the years, so many memories and so many reasons to feel loved.
Happy Monday!
Great post and pictures! I did something similar. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! Looks like you did!
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures!! We actually were up your way this past week. We spent Mother's Day driving the 14 hours home. LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and that breakfast looks delicious!! So happy you had a great weekend and will have another one coming up!
ReplyDeleteI had the five days before Mother's Day with my oldest and the weekend with my youngest. It kind of felt like Mother's Day week : ) I look forward to having both my girls and their boys and hopefully some adorable little grands with me on Mother's Day one day in the future.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a perfect way to spend Mother's Day. I didn't get to see my kids as things got a bit turned around. My disabled mother has been staying with us for a few weeks while her apartment is getting some work. So my generation of siblings gathered here instead.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great Mother's Day:) LOVE Hydrangeas! Have a wonderful day dear Vicki, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteRelaxing with your loves is the best, isn't it!

Aren't we lucky to be moms??!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWish I had that omelet right now!!
I'm so glad you had a great Mother's Day! And why don't we have mimosas every day? Let's start a movement. The every day a mimosa day movement. I'd vote for that!
