Eggnog Cookies - Pinterest Success {40}

I spent an enjoyable pre Christmas day yesterday in my kitchen, baking cookies and listening to Christmas music. It would have been even more perfect if there would have been snow flying around outside, but it's looking like we won't be having a white Christmas this year, with temperatures predicted in the fifties.

Eggnog seems like such an old fashioned kind of drink these days, but I always buy some and enjoy a glass or two at Christmastime. When I saw this recipe on Pinterest, it looked like a great addition to my cookie tray that I always put together at this time of year. I like to make a new cookie to add to the mix of tradional favorites and this one looked yummy and pretty too, with its eggnog flavored frosting.

It was a good choice and I will have to practice restraint to be able to eat just one. They really do taste like a glass of eggnog wrapped up in a bite of cookie. The sprinkle of nutmeg on the top is the perfect tasty garnish too.

Happy holiday baking!

  1. My Joe would love them, but I do not care for eggnog. They do look festive and fun, though!

  3. Sounds yummy! Nothing puts me in the Christmas spirit quicker than baking and listening to music. I still have to make my shortbread, so that will be on the agenda for today sometime.

  4. Yum! I'm a fan of eggnog, but didn't buy any this year. May have to go pick up a carton and make these cookies.
    Happy New Year!
