College Football starts this weekend and it is like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one. It really is my favorite time of the year. We have Michigan State University season tickets and we tailgate before the games, with a big group of people. We have our spot picked out and will be working on some great menus that will range from breakfast to grilling burgers. There are four home games in a row, to start the season, so we will be taking advantage of the wonderful weather in September and early October and enjoying some perfect fall days on MSU's beautiful campus.
I am excited to try some new recipes this year, as well as some of my old standbys. To come up with some new ideas, I turned to Pinterest and found some great ideas. I think I am also going to invest in a chafing dish this year to have the ability to keep things warm. Following are some recipes from my Pinterest Tailgate! board that I would like to try.
Easy Baked French Toast Casserole
I think we have a delicious season of tailgating ahead and I can hardly wait. Not a healthy dish in the bunch, but that's not what football Saturdays are about :-)
Go Green and Happy Wednesday!

Yes!! I am SO ready for football season!! Can't wait!! Loved seeing all your recipes! I've tried the meatball sliders and they're really good! I have a Mexican Salad recipe that uses Fritos instead of Doritos and it's really good, too. I need to come tailgate with y'all! Unfortunately, we don't have season tickets to Alabama, but Lord knows we got enough big screen and projector TVs in our house, so it's all the same to us! Have a great week, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteI made the Chicken Orzo Soup you recommended last week and it was fabulous! My college didn't have football, so I've never really gotten back to watching it. I always think it's a lot of fun if you have a fav team playing, but since I have no favorites, I don't watch. Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteWe don't tailgate but I think that we will start after seeing those yummy pics!
ReplyDeleteGo Northwestern! The Wildcats open against Stanford this weekend,
ReplyDeleteAnd when I am not watching college football--there is our other empty nester project. Everyone is invited to share our story and add your comments too!

ReplyDeleteThis all sounds so fun for you...definitely something to look forward to. I like the recipes, I want to try the Baked French Toast---great for a breakfast or brunch that we have pretty often here or at the homes of my kids. The Donut Kabobs sound great, too. Thanks and have a great football season. Love the picture of you and your hubby!
