Red Berries

When everywhere I look outside is unending white, my home desperately needed some cheerful color after I removed all the holiday decor. I put together this bright and colorful winter mantel that will stay in place through the frigid month of January.

It was simple to put together with some decor I already had, and the addition of the red berries made all the difference. There is something so simple about the look - red berries, a window frame, red candles and a sparkly tree or two - but the colors bring drama and interest.

I put together these candles with some clear glass vases, epsom salts to mimic snow and small red candles. They will look beautiful and dramatic, when lit on a cold winter's night

Lights on a grapevine tree give some cheer to the gloomy days ahead and look so pretty next to the blanket of snow outside the window.

The holidays may be over, but the decor used in a different way can still bring cheer to your home.

Happy Tuesday - stay warm!

  9. Very pretty, Vicki. My mantel is still bare after taking down the greenery, lights, and stockings. I need to get into the mood to work on decorating it again.
