A Little Fall Inspiration

As fall arrives, my mind starts to think of some new things I can do with my fall decor. I haven't pulled out the bins yet, but have been pinning and looking at blogs to get ideas. Also, I find by taking a shopping trip early in the season, I am able to pick up a few inexpensive items that are different than what I have. These sweet acorns were found at Michaels and there are so many things I can do with them, when I start to decorate. There textures will fit in well with my fall decor style. I like to use natural elements and these will work well.

Also at Michaels, I couldn't resist a couple of new pumpkins to use on my mantle. Believe me when I say, I have pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and textures, but these, especially the metallic version, will add to the display.

I found this frame on line and fell in love with the details - the lock and handle are so inspired. My plan is to remove the photo mats and use it like a window frame on my fall mantle. I like the rustic look and I need the size and height of the piece. Unfortunately, the Target closest to me was sold out, so I will be visiting the others in the area to track it down.

There are a few other projects I will be working on over the next few weeks, as I gather other new touches for the decor. I will be showing a few things as I complete them, before I put everything together in October. I just love fall decorating :-)

Love the acorns. I am not quite ready for my fall things to come out. I am thinking next week I will make that trip into the attic.

  5. GMTA! I bought one of those frames last night (9/17) at Target in Farmington. They had one left besides the one I purchased. I fell in love with that frame immediately! It does not have mats, it's a floating glass frame.

  10. The acorns and pumpkins are so cute! I just love one~of~a~kind things. That's probably why ladies love crafting so much. I like that window frame, too. Have you thought about ordering it online?

  12. Sure hope Michaels still has some of those acorns next week (SS payday) so I can get at least 2 or 3. I have some somewhere along with lots of other great Fall decos but the box is not to be found this year. I sure love those. I'll have my 40% off coupon ready to buy those. Keep my fingers crossed. We only have one Target and one Michaels in Grand Junction, CO so will have to be happy with what they have. We live about 22 miles from Michaels so can't just run to see what they have. Glad you shared these, happy weekend

  22. Love your acorns. Haven't even looked for things like that since I have several already. Those are great looking acorns, love all the texture. I have so much Fall stuff I try to only make things to sell and put a little of it in home, like to change displays yearly. I'm pretty much done with my Fall decorating, how about you? Do you go all out and include Halloween also? I miss having kids to decorate for Halloween but all the Fall is plenty in our little house. Do you show your home and how you've decorated it? I love taking home tours during all the seasons, get so many great ideas. This time of year is pretty stimulating and lots of fun. I really enjoy making Fall crafts. Happy days ahead.
