The 4th of July holiday has been a good one so far. Our weather has finally cleared a little and the days and nights have been great for sitting outside, dining on the patio and enjoying fireworks after dark. We even hope to spend some time at our club's pool, over the next few days.
Yesterday we went to a friends house for a delicious barbecue and I spent a little time relaxing in their pool and hot tub, with a cocktail in my hand. Our hostess made a yummy layered dessert - layers of red, white and blue - light, refreshing and oh so festive.
Also, I tried a new cocktail yesterday that is perfect for the summer when you are watching your carbs. I am a big fan of Skinnygirl Margaritas and the new grapefruit flavor is really good. It is just the right mixture of tart and sweet and the carbs are so low, there is no guilt needed.
Have a great weekend - there is still a lot of summer to go and I want to take advantage of every bit of it :-)
Haven't tried a Skinny Girl yet, but hopefully soon. Have a great weekend, Vicki!

Fun! They were able to get some fireworks in here last night despite all the rain. Drizzling still :( Skinny Girl is really yummy...you are not missing out on taste with this product.

ReplyDeleteLove the patriotic BBQ theme with the flag plates and layered dessert. Those Skinnygirl cocktails are so good. I'll have to try the grapefruit.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot of the fireworks. I wish I had gotten a shot off of the fireworks. I say that every year.
