February is the month dedicated to love and the color of love is red. I don't like to wear red, but I love the bold statement it brings to decorating. Something as simple as putting a pretty red bow, with hearts, around this cute, white chicken, gives it a fun pop of seasonal color.
Red balls in a glass dish on my coffee table, add color that instantly brightens the room.
Sweet, red heart candles, for Valentines Day, give a romantic touch to the kitchen table.
This wreath hangs on the laundry room door and the red and white patterns bring color and texture to the room's decor. This wreath is probably 20 years old, but I still love the polka dots and checks.
Another use of the red ribbon gives life to this heart garland, hanging in the foyer staircase.
Red is my favorite accent color in the winter months, because it brings a brightness to any room, when it is gloomy outside. February is the perfect month to add red to your decor. It is bright, bold and will bring a little love into your home.
Have a great weekend. We will be cheering on Melissa and the MSU Pompon team as they compete in their collegiate championship. Go Green!

I like red in decorating, but have more of the jewel toned red in my house, as opposed to a bright red. My kitchen is a brick red and I love it.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend! Lots of snow in our forecast so I guess it's go white here this weekend : )
I have red scattered throughout my house all the time! There is quite a bit more added for Valentine's Day:) Your decorations are so pretty! Have a blessed day dear Vicki, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right...red is the color of love! Love your pretty touches. I need more of it in my home, I think. But like you, I don't wear it...not sure why. I don't like green either (on anyone!) Fussy me!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, my friend!

Hi Vicki. Red is my very favorite color! I'm always pleased with adding a red ribbon to something and watching the transformation. Love your fabric hearts!

Have a wonderful weekend!
I made one of those wreaths many years ago. Yours is in such good condition.

Hi Vicki, I like red in my kitchen. I have some in the living room too. I toy with neutrals but cannot go all the way on them. I do like Valentines candy in glass jars sitting about but it is difficult to avoid eating it. Have fun at the pom pom event. Olive
ReplyDeleteLoved this! The red balls are great . . . I am on a search.
ReplyDeleteRed is my favourite colour .... Have a nice week. Regula
