Once November comes, my thoughts start turning towards holiday entertaining. Thanksgiving is early this year ( November 22nd ) and Christmas will be here before we can blink. One of the ways I have found to make entertaining easier, is to serve a dessert on a pretty platter, using a mix of grocery store speciality cookies and pastries and one homemade item.
I put together this platter in no time at all, with pumpkin shaped ginger snap and cherry rugala cookies from my freezer, mini chocolate chip cannolis from the grocery store bakery and homemade Cheesecake Filled Chocolate Dipped Strawberries. This platter of goodies is perfect for last minute guests or when you just don't have time to bake.
The key to this easy entertaining idea, is to create a special homemade dessert bite that can be put together fast. This Pinterest recipe for Cheesecake Filled Chocolate Covered Strawberries is perfect. I made these in ten minutes and then placed them in the refridgerator to chill. They are made with fresh strawberries, good quality chocolate and a pre-made cheesecake filling. They are pretty and taste as delicious as they look. The original pin can be found here and the recipe can be found here.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I've dipped strawberries before, but cheesecake in the middle? Who needs to bake a whole cake--the strawberries sound perfect! Thank you so much for visiting and adding your idea to the Thanksgiving Treats and Fall Fun Linky Party. I’m one of your co-hosts from OneCreativeMommy.com. If you linked up from one of the other co-host sites, I hope you’ll stop by my site for a visit.
ReplyDeleteOMgoodness, those strawberries look mouthwatering. I am bad about keeping it simple and then "kill" myself trying to do it all. I will have to keep this in mind next time, just one tray of goodies and not all homemade.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm I've made the cheesecake filled strawberries before, and loved them! I never thought of ALSO dipping them in chocolate though, sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteNew follower here from the Heavenly treats linky party, hope you have time to stop by!
