I spent the day yesterday, tweaking a couple of things for my front porch fall decor. First, I updated and made pretty, a grapevine pumpkin I've had for years. This pumpkin has orange and white lights that I added when I bought it, but was otherwise plain. It needed a little something more, to stand out during the daylight hours. So, I decided to try the addition of some fall greenery for color and a simple burlap bow.
The burlap bow is a nice, rustic complement to the grapevine and other natural elements in the display.
A small bale of hay holds a pot of orange and yellow pansies, and a pumpkin. The sign provides a welcoming touch. Because of the pesky squirrels, I had to use an artificial pumpkin for now :-)
This corner display, next to the front door, will welcome guests to my home through Thanksgiving. There will be some Halloween decorations added to the front of the house, for the trick or treaters, but those will come later.
The flowers in my garden are cut back, the leaves are starting to cover the lawn and the days are getting colder - time to sit back and enjoy this beautiful season with a nice cup of hot apple cider.

great fall decor Vicki! I'm not looking forward to fall this year...too many leaves that I can't rake or mow due to a bum shoulder. It's going to be a long, ugly fall 'round these parts.

Everything looks so pretty for Autumn! Thank you for sharing at TTF last week. I am so sorry for being so late to visit. Hope your day is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the burlap! Oh and far as fake pumpkins, I use them here in Florida to keep from rotting from the heat!
