Christmas Mantel Details

When I put together my mantel decorations, the look I want to achieve is cozy and inviting, with lots of red and green and natural elements.

Adding a large, metal star adds height and texture, as well as a great Christmas feel. I also love the bright red color.

The garland is a mixture of branches, greenery, berries and pine cones, with a touch of snow. I found this sign several years ago and love the sentiment - all hearts come home for Christmas. It is my favorite detail on the mantel.

Pretty white lights, twinkle and shine wrapped around a grapevine Christmas tree.

Other details include sparkly ornaments in a vase, candles of various textures and heights, that add soft light and three of my favorite snow globes. This one has a vintage Christmas scene with an old time, red Ford truck bringing home the family tree.

Have a merry day :-)

  2. Beautiful! I don't think I've seen a mantle that I've liked better than this one. LOVE the red and the star and plaque and everything. I'm still trying to get a mantle above our stove. We'll see what happens. I'm keeping yours in mind. Love it!
