Yesterday, it was the most gorgeous weather for my daily walk, with my puppy. I like walking in all seasons, but I think that this time of year is my favorite, with the bright blue skies and perfect temperatures. When I walk, it is my time to just let everything else leave my mind, but what I am seeing and experiencing in nature. My puppy, Cooper and I have our routine as we walk; many times taking the same path, but always noticing different things. Yesterday, the changing seasons were evident and I paused to capture some of these in photos.
Some of the smaller trees , are already changing colors and the leaves looked spectacular against the blue sky.
This ragweed's pretty yellow flowers caught my eye as I made my way along the walking path.
These berries have recently made an appearance in some of the thickly wooded areas.
Just a hint of yellow leaves stand out in this sunny green patch.
Cooper was very patient on this walk, as I stopped to take photos, but she would much rather look for squirrels, than pretty leaves :-)
Sometimes, it is worth it to take your time and notice the new sights that suddenly appear in the midst of your daily routine. Have a lovely day today!

ReplyDeleteCooper is so cute! My dogs would rather chase the squirrels too than stop for photos!
ReplyDeleteCooper is such a cute pup, Vicki! Love your "yellow." just perfect for e season. Thanks for visiting Walk and Click Wednesdays! ;->
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute pup...I love this time of year with the colors changing and the crisp air. Have a wonderful fall day!
ReplyDeleteMy Malibu is a squirrel chaser too - she is just too funny!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the leaves are changing already! Summer is for sure on its way out - and I'm ok with that.
I loved taking a cyber tour with Cooper. Fall is expressing itself in the mid-west with the maples turning color and piers and boats being taken out of the water before it is too cold to do so. See you next time.

ReplyDeleteHi, What a nice day you had out walking with your puppy, Cooper. He is so cute. Now, Pretty yellow flowers, I know what the culprit ragweed looks like. A pretty flowering plant causes Allergy symptoms for many of us in the spring and Fall.

My dog looooooves the cool fall air, cant wait to get some it down this way! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHow true this is! We tend to breeze by familiar places and forget to take in the details. A walk in pleasant weather is always a good way to appreciate all that is around us. Love Cooper! Ann

Vicki, it's as if you're channeling our walk yesterday! We took a walk around our property with our dog, Scout. Ragweed everywhere - I loved the splash of yellow in the autumn light. Leaves beginning to change and berries on our pokeweed plants.

Hi Vicki! I agree that we need to open our eyes and see things that we take for granted in our everyday worlds! I like taking my dog walking too, as she notices things I might have passed by. I'm looking forward to exploring more of your blog! Linda

ReplyDeleteThose moments of beauty are so wonderful when we let them happen, Vicki. What a wonderful way to spend your time with little Cooper! This is the perfect time of year for walking outside and enjoying nature. I love to see people walking aroundwithout their phones or iPods .. just looking at the world and marvelling at it.
